Cole's is a real shop in the real world. Its four walls, one roof, two big windows, thousands of books and a fantastic bunch of customers make it a great place to hold events. We've had a mixture of local writers and internationally known authors at Cole's (and a little bit of poetry thrown in), all of whom have made Cole's a smashing place to be. Our range of Author signed books is rather comprehensive. Covering the areas of Sport, Film, Fiction, TV, Cooking and many other categories. Our policy is to sell Signed Editions at cover price only, we do not add a premium for a book with an author signature. Old books are beautiful things, from the print detail of the linen covers to the smell and feel of pages which have been turned many times. A Cherished Book is not only a beautiful thing to own and look at, but it may also become a thing of value as the years pass. All the books featured have been read by a group we know and all stimulated good conversation at the end of the read (with a glass or two of wine!). We'd love to add your own recommendations as well.
